Blogging guilt

Well, yes, we are alive. I CANNOT believe that the entire summer is gone and I haven't done ANY posting about what an awesome and busy time we had. However, for posterity's sake, I do intend on writing about all of our adventures: swim team, cub scout day camp, birthdays, (I have a 2 year old now!), Jonathan's ordination (I HAVE A 12 YEAR OLD!!!), the 4th of July, awesome visits from family, Austin and I going to Disneyworld, the family going to Florida, NASA, the Children's Museum, a little thing I like to call GIRL'S CAMP, and did I mention probably HUNDREDS of visits to the pools. So...it is my goal that for the next week I will be posting about our summer adventures to catch y'all up on our lives here in Texas.

Here is Jonathan on his first day of jr. high. I know this picture doesn't really show it, but he is EXCITED. He was all ready by about 6:30am. He mentioned to me that he was nervous and had a hard time sleeping (me too J!) He woke up at 3am and was so worried about forgetting to put on deoderant that he put it on then. He is hilarious, but soooo cute. He is excited to have a locker and his new classes. He is taking 3 pre-AP classes: English, Reading and Math. His elective this year is Choir which he is very excited about. The school is right across the street, so he rides his bike with some of his friends in the neighborhood. Here is a picture of his buddy Patrick. He was over at our house bright and early and rang the doorbell at 6:55am. (school starts at 7:20) They were excited to get out the door and go to school. I haven't seen Jonathan this happy in a very long time. I love you J.

Here are my Creech Elementary boys getting ready to meet the bus at 7:40 am. (no I did not take them on the first day. I wanted to, but they both said NO!) Notice the expression on Spencer's face in both pictures. The excitement has been building up for weeks (not). He did not want to go to school, but ended up LOVING his new teacher, Ms. Nelson. On the other hand, Austin has been asking for a week now when school starts. He absolutely loves every minute of school and learning. He also is excited about his new teacher, Ms. Vanya. Also, can I please mention that I did NOT comb Spencer's hair and he is insisting on brushing it all forward to look like teen wolf. Nice....

And last, but not least, we have her royal Highness herself, Rachael enjoying her fav thing going right now....Bubble baths. She asks to take one at least 3 times a day. She is fascinated by the bubbles and could literally spend an hour each time just playing with her "Eweowl mimming" (Ariel swimming) Yes, much to Mark's delight Rachael cannot get enough of his favorite Cartoon Babe, The Little Mermaid. She sings the songs and Mark sings them right along with her. I think we all saw this one coming.
Well, that's all for now...but more to come! I am DELIGHTED that some of my long lost friends found me and left messages for me. (HELLO AMY AND JODY!!!) Thanks for your comments and so sorry it has taken me literally months to see your messages. YEA! I can't wait to get back with you.
