I LOVE this gift that I received from one of my BFF's: Miss Laurie Turk ( www.tipjunkie.blogspot.com) When I found out I was having a girl, she went out and ordered one of these awesome little diaper covers with an R embroidered on it. I LOVE IT. Laurie is an amazing friend and we were planning on seeing each other this last weekend. She lives in Dallas and we were all psyched for that girl's weekend. (the triple play "S" weekend: Shopping, Spa and a Show) Anyway, Mark's grandfather passed away, and so of course he left for Portland which puts off our weekend getaway for another time :( I was also looking forward to seeing her sister Lisa, whom I affectionately call my Vacation Friend.) Dang girls...I hope we can see each other soon!

Out of the mouth of babes...
Dear Austin,
Well today has been one of those days, huh? We certainly love your energy, independent spirit, and love for life. I had to make an entry today summarizing some of the highlights of the day, in your own words.
*Today in church, you were pretty wiggly...more than usual. In fact, you were so wiggly that daddy said,"Austin, if you cannot get it together, we are going to have to go out and have a spank." "OK, Dad," you said, "but can I at least get a drink of water while we are out there?"
*Also at church, Daddy got up to go change the baby's diaper. As soon has he left, you came and snuggled right up to me (which I loved.) Then, you leaned over, and without whispering asked me, "Mom..are you wearing any underwear?"
*"Mommy," you asked later tonight, "if I were to swallow a house, would I be shaped like a house?" (and then did your best and biggest swallowing example)
"I am so glad it's Spring Break Mom, because now I get to see you ALL DAY!"
Ditto Austin. I love you.

My Wonderful Neighbors
Just when I thought another Rodeo Post wasn't possible....
After the rodeo, they transport a portable stage out into the middle of the arena for a big headliner to perform. We saw Trace Adkins, who, I must confess, didn't know who he was. He was really good on that rotating stage and we had a GREAT TIME! I was so glad to have this date with Mark. We really do enjoy getting away and remembering how important it is to spend time together in this crazy world of ours. By the way...next year is our 15Th wedding anniversary, and we want to plan a FABULOUS trip to celebrate. Any suggestions???

In Keeping Up with the Cowboy theme...
Yee Haw! Rodeo Time
This picture says 1000 words. I was trying to keep them "entertained" and "busy" by looking at the prize winning cows instead of going over to the nasty carnival. This is them when I said, "Look excited!"
